"the Money Bunny"
Client: Mazuma
Medium: Ink and Digital (Adobe Illustrator)
Size: 8"x10"

Superhero concept for a children's newsletter. It wasn't suppossed to be a licensed character that I was aware of, and I tried to stay away from the image of Captain Carrot (an early DC Comics character) in the event that it would become as such for Mazuma.
Funny animals in superhero costumes have always had a special place in my heart. It's probably something that is a leftover from early Warner Bros. cartoons of Duck Dodgers and Bugs Bunny pretending to be SuperRabbit. And it's odd that I don't draw more animals with human-like depictive attributes. I think it's because that George Lucas driven oddball movie "Howard the Duck" freaked me out so bad as a youth...
Anyway, after one run (Issue 3/Volume 7), Money Bunny was never used again.
