| I
spend a lot of time walking around graveyards. I find the contrasts
between the quiet of the well trimmed lawns and the polite deceased
to be more favorable than the human landfill that is society in general.
|
| Sound
macabre? I would venture to say it does, but not for the shock value,
but more as a statement of discomfort that I often get as a reaction
from people. Who (except for the hopelessly unhinged) would want to
hang out in a cemetary? |
| It's
not some latent Goth drenched obsession, nor is it any pretext to
being labeled as mental for the sake of enhancing any image. |
| It's
just that most all cemetaries are usually profoundly serene... almost
like the waiting room before Elysium, or heaven, or whatever comes
after. And since so many people never wander around them, except maybe
Memorial Day, they provide me with the solace I need in this crazy
world. |
